GSI Schools – Career Guidance & Mentorship Platform
Project overview
We built a full-stack career guidance web application for GSI Schools using Laravel. The platform connects students with university students and professionals for mentorship sessions. Key features include secure user authentication, role-based dashboards, detailed mentor profiles, and an intuitive interface. The responsive frontend uses HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, while the Laravel backend with MySQL ensures secure and scalable data management.

Challenges
Students previously lacked an easy way to find suitable mentors and book guidance sessions. The old process relied on manual coordination, resulting in delays and limited access to professionals. The client needed a secure platform that could handle different user roles, display mentor profiles clearly, and support growing numbers of students and mentors without performance issues.
Approach
We developed the complete application using Laravel for robust backend logic and MySQL for reliable data storage. The frontend delivers a clean, responsive experience across all devices. We implemented user authentication, role-based dashboards for students and mentors, and well-organized mentor profiles. Special focus was placed on smooth navigation and secure flows to make connecting with mentors simple and efficient.
Results
The platform has created a seamless mentorship experience for students at GSI Schools. Users can now easily find and connect with suitable mentors through role-based dashboards. The system handles authentication and data securely while maintaining fast performance. Both students and mentors benefit from the organized interface.
